2025-2026 Annual Funds Drive

By becoming a Supporter or Patron of the Arts at Wilkes Art Gallery, you are choosing to prolong the history of the arts in Wilkes County. In 1962, Wilkes Art Gallery was founded by Annie Winkler and supported by local artists and patrons whose common mission was to impact and advance Wilkes County through meaningful arts enrichment including quality instruction and fine art exhibitions. The Gallery is a valuable resource for visitors of all ages and all abilities. Your financial support is used to carry out our mission by helping provide an extensive range of arts-centered experiences including accessible exhibitions, fine arts studies and workshops, visual and performing arts events, free community programming and more!

FAQs

What is NARM?

NARM is an extensive network of hundreds of cultural institutions across Bermuda, Canada, El Salvador, Mexico and the United States that connect their memberships for unprecedented access to arts, science, history, botanical gardens, and more. Supporting at a level that provides NARM ($100 or more) will allow access to membership benefits at institutions across North America.

What is an artist profile listing?
If you are an artist and choose to give at the artist level, you will have a spot on the Artist Directory on the Gallery website which will include a thumbnail, 1-2 sentences about you and your work, and one website or social media link. This will make for an efficient way to connect with and support artists directly.

What is an educational opportunity sponsorship?

If you support at a level that gives educational opportunity sponsorships, a portion of your membership payment will go towards funding field trips for local schools, providing free classes for students in need at the Gallery, providing scholarships to rising college freshmen going into art school, and much more.

What is an exhibition sponsorship?

If you support at a level that gives an exhibition sponsorship, a portion of your membership payment will go towards providing funds for exhibitions and materials needed to help artists exhibit. Your name will also be featured on the show's promotional materials as a sponsor.

How can I become a supporter?

You can become a supporter by filling out our information card and providing payment either by mail, by phone, in-person, or online (button above). Types of payments accepted include checks, cards, and cash.
