Grassroots Arts Program, or GAP, grants provide funding for program expenses for projects of high artistic merit including artist fees and travel, space rental, marketing, advertising, costumes, sets, props, music and equipment rental. Grants can also cover limited operating expenses for arts organizations only.

 

Applications are available for non-profit organizations, or organizations operating as a non-profit in Wilkes County. Funding priority is given to qualified arts organizations (theaters, galleries, choral societies, festivals, etc.), arts in education programs conducted by qualified artists, and other community organizations that provide arts programs in the county.

Projects and programs must take place between July 1st, 2025 and June 15th, 2026. Funds are to be matched dollar for dollar and cannot be matched with other NCAC grant funds.
