The Powers of Poetry: Free One-Day Camp w/ Phillip Shabazz
For 4th-5th graders
June 26th | 10am - 12pm
Have you ever wanted to write poetry but you didn't know where to start? Join us for a one-day poetry camp geared towards 4th-5th grade students! During this session, students will receive a poetry packet, hear poems, take notes, write original poems, read them aloud, and receive constructive feedback. This naturally engages them in a great deal of writing, verbal interaction, higher-level thinking, and critical analysis.
This one-day camp is FREE for any 4th-5th grade students who would like to attend. This camp is for responsive and committed students who take writing seriously and support and celebrate each other’s work!
