Dear Valued Members,
In alignment with state and federal recommendations and to protect the health and safety of our patrons, the Wilkes Art Gallery is closed to the public as of March 18th until further notice.
If you are registered for a class or workshop your spot is secure and we will follow up to let you know when classes will resume.
Dates for future events and openings will be announced as we know them.
Grassroots Subgranting information and deadlines will be announced once we receive further information from the North Carolina Arts Council.
Staff members will be available on a limited basis via phone and email. Please leave a message if you call the gallery. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
Pottery students! Please utilize our hours today to pick up any supplies you need to be creative at home. Work that needs to be fired may be dropped off at the gallery each Tuesday morning between 10 and 12. Please call ahead to alert us that you are on the way.
The Wilkes Art Gallery is a place for community where we support, uplift, and take care of each other. Even though our physical doors will be closed, we will be available to you through social media outlets and our website. Please check frequently for kid’s activities and ways to tap into your artistic side as we navigate these unprecedented times. Remember our little free pantry/library behind the building. Consider sharing with your neighbors not only food, but cleaning supplies, paper products, and even books or art supplies.
We appreciate all of our patrons and volunteers. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
