The Wilkes Art Gallery is dedicated to providing classes and workshops for all ages.  Throughout the year, adult classes are offered in ceramics, painting, knitting, watercolor, drawing, stained glass, fibers and much more.  Children can enjoy classes in many of the same media.  We also offer a month of Summer Art Camps, a Summer Honors Art Program, special Saturday workshops and other children's activities.

Beginning the Wheel Wilkes Art Gallery, February 21-April 3, 2012, 6:00 to 8:30 pm Beginning the Wheel will be a 6 week pottery course with instructor Beth Horrell. This class will teach the basics of throwing on a potter’s wheel, basic hand-building techniques, and working with glazes and underglazes. Student’s first 25lbs of clay and all firing and glazing are included in the course fee. Class will meet on Tuesdays beginning February 21 until April 3, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Limited to 6 participants. Cost: $110 for members or $115 for non-members.
